10.11.09 Updates
Great report here from Bill Bailey from the L’Etape Du Tour De Mondovelo 2009
And a short note from Phillip Gal
Andrew
Hi, Just wanted to say hi and thanks. The bike you suggested has
worked wonders for me. Not only have my fitness improved and I have lost 20
kg getting back on the bike. I have just returned from 2 weeks in France
riding said bike. It was one of my greatest experiences. The climbs were
still a challenge but well worth it. See attached photo. On a side note I
had a number of pro riders take a liking to my bike.
Many thanks
Phillip Gal
7.12.08 Ironman WA 2008
Congratulations to all of the Trysport athletes that successfully
completed Ironman WA 2009. Great conditions made for some impressive
times!
Well done to Ross Taylor who was the stand out for mine this year!
Since the inception of the race I would walk past the Kookaburra Caravan
Park and see 'Rossco', who I know from my time at Swan Districts Football
Club, ( he was the Head Trainer) sitting in the deck chair, beer in hand,
watching the race. Every year he would say to me how great this event is,
how inspiring, how tough and how he would like to do it.......... one day.
It became a bit like 'Groundhog Day' every IM WA. I would walk past and
Ross would say to me, 'I will do this one day Budgie'.
Last year he spoke with a bit more conviction; 'I will come in to see you
next week to discuss my build up to Ironman 2008'.
Hats off to you Ross Taylor, YOU ARE AN IRONMAN, an Ironman Western
Australia finisher in 13:39 @ 60 years of age!

Congratulations to Simon Roll (and partner Todd Coulter) for taking overall line honours in the Avon Descent last weekend.
The win was set-up with a record breaking day one. (6 minutes faster than the old record).
This overall line honours result is an amazing achievement given that the boys beat the fastest Teams to the line as well.
Well done Simon! Your many years of hard work has paid off!!

07.01.08 Kate Bevilaqua wins the Triathlon New Zealand Long Distance Championships
Congratulations to Kate Bevilaqua on amazing victory on Saturday in the Port of Tauranga Half Ironman.
This race is also the Triathlon New Zealand Long Distance Championships.
After a year of showing plenty of promise (2007), with a string of fourth placings, Kate even surprised herself with her early season form! A win against some very strong long course athletes, a personal best time, and all this without a taper!
The victory didn’t come easy with a shoulder to shoulder duel with Jo Lawn for the last four kilometres. Kate just managed to out sprint Lawn to the line to win by 10 seconds.
All the best to you Kate for Ironman New Zealand in March.
